The Exhaust Options window both specifies what exhaust system to use and also helps in designing exhaust systems.
When the window opens (on program load) most of the values will be blank or zero, and the buttons will be greyed out, the File Data tab, however, will contain exhaust pipe data from the Engine database.
The pipe used by the ICE calculation processes is selected using the options above (No Pipe, Plain pipe, etc).
